Professor Ash Mosahebi is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Royal Free Hospital and an honorary senior lecturer at University College Hospital, London. After qualifying at Guy’s and St Thomas Medical School Mr Mosahebi gained a PhD in plastic surgery and tissue engineering at University College London, and has done pioneering research on regenerating new tissues through new biomaterials and tissue engineering. The first UK plastic surgery fellow at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in New York where he honed his skills in complex reconstruction.
Professor Mosahebi is the Deputy Editor of the British Journal of Plastic Surgery and the Honorary Secretary of Royal Society of Medicine. He is also Council member for the Royal Society of Medicine, British Association of Aesthetic Plastic surgeons and is part of the Specialist Advisory Committee on Plastic surgery of the United Kingdom.
His specialist interests include plastic and microsurgical reconstruction surgery to support cancer and trauma surgeons as well as congenital, cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery.
I believe each patient is unique, there isn’t such thing as a standard operation in plastic surgery and each time needs to be bespoke to the patients needs and requirements.
